I'll begin this rave review with the caveat that I am among the people mentioned in SUPERFAST. Which is flattering, but it also puts me way above my class among the dozens of CEOs, founders, chairmen, presidents and directors at various companies worldwide whom Ms. Devonshire interviewed for this book. The common theme: how to function more effectively, and in fact thrive, in a world where the pace of life and of change is constantly accelerating. SUPERFAST is not about how to do everything faster. It's a given that the world is moving fast; the value of this book is that it shares lessons in how to pace yourself, clarify your priorities and mission, communicate more effectively, and make critical decisions when everything else is moving at lightning speed. One key takeaway is that to move at speed, you have to do other things that take longer and must be done more slowly: plan ahead, take time to read and learn, ask questions, pause to think, and refresh your own mind, body and soul at regular intervals.
